Mike is an Intern Architect (AAA) with a Bachelor’s degree in Urban Studies and Fine Art, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Calgary. With over two years of professional experience, complemented by five years working as a carpenter’s helper, he brings a strong understanding of both design and construction.
Currently working as an Intern Architect and Architectural Technologist, Mike supports both the building envelope and technologist teams through site visits, building performance testing, and the production of architectural drawings. His hands-on construction background informs a thoughtful approach to detailing and constructability.
Throughout his academic and professional work, Mike has focused on sustainable materials and design solutions, including mass timber, parametric design, neurodivergent design, and housing for the unhoused. He is driven by a desire to deepen his technical expertise while continuing to develop innovative and responsive design solutions. His work is characterized by organization, precision, and a willingness to engage with complex challenges.
