Based on unique ideas about seniors living, our client approached METAFOR to provide design services for a new residence that would serve the Canmore community with Support Living Level 4 (SL4) and Supportive Living Level 4-Dementia (SL4D) residents.
Project Details
This 2-storey residence connects to the existing Phase 1 building that METAFOR recently completed.
The building's north and south orientation responds not only to the site, but also orients spaces to the beautiful Three Sisters Peak view. The residential rooms are predominately east and east facing to enjoy the mountain vistas of the valley.

The development is divided into four areas, the resident’s neighbourhood, common and public spaces, BVRH workplaces, and back of house area.
The back of house area is connected to the common areas of the Phase 1 building, while the new Phase 2 residence will project a mountain look within modern elements in an effort to integrate it into its local context and for the benefit of the residents on site.
