The existing grading provided unique opportunities and challenges for the site. METAFOR intentionally mitigated the amount of excavation required, working with the existing grades to create pedestrian friendly connections from the street edge to the front entry of the building, as well as future connection to the east into the MR lands.
The building itself has a contemporary style, while adopting to fit within the architectural context of its surrounding developments. The mix of stone, natural wood, and peaked roofs acts as a vessel to blend in the dramatic geometry of the roof lines and peaks, mimicking the striking views of Stewart Creek.
