Meet Kyle Bradshaw

Project Architect | Edmonton Studio

Who or what inspired you to pursue the career you have today?

I was drawn in by a profession that combines creative expression and technical execution – a balance of
engineering and art.

What is your favourite part of working at METAFOR?

It is great to work with a group of engaged and curious people who enthusiastically pursue excellence in design and building performance.

What is your favorite project that you have worked on or that you are proud that METAFOR was a part of? Why?

A great project team makes a great project. METAFOR has the fortune of many clients who bring an open mind and active desire to build better, resulting in enhanced environments and spaces that are more comfortable, efficient, healthy, and sustainable. The Tiller+Grace Condo and the MD Bighorn Operations Building have been two projects where the client, consultants, and METAFOR have been able to work collaboratively to produce results well beyond the status quo.

Which of our Core Values resonates with you the most and why?

Intentionally Curious. It is a thrill to collaborate with clients on a deep exploration of their needs, to develop specific and innovative solutions. and then carefully and thoroughly execute. By first listening and learning, we discover the challenges that need to be solved to result in better buildings and spaces.

What inspires you in life? What are you passionate about?

The opportunity in each day is to learn from yesterday and try to improve and grow.

What hobbies, activities, or passions bring you joy outside of the office?

I’m on board with any outdoor activity. Hiking, Camping, Biking, Gardening, Paddling, or a fire with friends in the summer. Cross country and downhill skiing, skating, and sledding are some winter favourites.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?

South America is pretty enticing, as it is a continent I haven’t been to yet and promises new cultures, foods, and an abundance of natural places to explore from Patagonia, to Salar de Uyuni, to the Amazon.

Tell me something about you that most people don't know.

I have a twin. If you see me on the street or in an airport and I seem to have completely forgotten you – sorry!
