Through a strategic alliance with ARUP Toronto, METAFOR was engaged as the Bridging Architect for the new Calgary Cancer Centre (CCC) located at the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary.
Project Details
Through the Indicative Design/Procurement deliverables that our team has developed, METAFOR was responsible for conformance review of the SOR (Statement of Requirement) and provided design expertise to Alberta Infrastructure and AHS for building envelope, site integration, connector design, and interior design.
As part of the interior design and wayfinding conformance, METAFOR was tasked with the coordination and integration of an art strategy. We came together to form a team for this project for the architectural and interior design Bridging services. The Cancer Centre has recently been awarded LEED Gold Certification.
